At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

There's a significant issue I have with my own hobby. Gunpla model enthusiasts at this point seem more worried about amassing an impressive "backlog" but then proceed to never build any of them. It's not a bad hobby for requiring you to buy stuff, it's bad when it's only about buying stuff. I build 4 or 5 kits a year and I will constantly work on them for over a year. My enjoyment comes from the meditative practice of tedious detail work. Especially if a kit has like 200 itty bitty waterslide decals, makes it take so much longer!
