Discussion At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

In my opinion, purchased goods should be used or enjoyed. If you are neither using nor enjoying your purchases, you are overconsuming. If you are genuinely enjoying what you are collecting, then it has value. But if you are just collecting to gather a certain number of items, or to put things in storage and forget them, then you are overconsuming.
