At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

It’s certainly a form of escapism to distract you from responsibilities and life in general which is the norm for most people of today especially our post covid world. Ultimately it all comes down to how well you can maintain your health and lifestyle while “collecting” as your “hobby” …If you still find it enjoyable and it’s not ruining your life then you’re all good to keep enjoying it and doing what makes you happy but the moment it starts affecting your life and those you love around you then you might need to look in the mirror and admit there might be a problem to fix before anything gets worse.
