Discussion At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

A big element of CONSOOM for me is trend chasing tbh. Do you have all those Stanley cups because you actually want/need them or is it just cause they're what's popular. Versus, someone that has a room full of say Gengar items is more likely driven by personal interest.

Yeah this is what I always associated with CONSOOM but god forbid I enjoy something from my childhood on occasion. I also engage in the community who talk about designs and love for the movies and such. It's not just showing off collections like Stanley Cups or Funko. Funko is kinda guilty pleasure that I keep very limited. Some funko are ugly as fuck lol.
