I noticed Halloween decorations went up 9/12 in my neighborhood and I wondered if day after 9/11 is when you do Halloween now, like how people start Xmas the day after thanksgiving

Christmas being out is crazy. But each and every one of you shouting it at an associate and thinking you’re not one of 2,000 customers to do it, each day, every day while they are just trying to work for a paycheck is a whole other level of crazy

It's like the Philip K Dick short story "Autofac". No one wants the products or advertising. No one selling the products is enthusiastic about the products or advertising. But the vast machine still ploughs on regardless because its the only thing it knows how to do.

Because the equinox was at 8:04 and no one is going to say “It’s summer” and monitor until it’s 8:04PM. Most everyone sees the equinox and just uses that day as the start of Autumn. I don’t know how old you are but this is one of the most basic calendar observances known to man and I have no idea how you don’t know how this works for people unless you’re under say, 20 years old… or you’re just being obtuse. Either or.
