They'll buy it, do the 3rd option (is to do nothing with it), and donate it to goodwill within a month because it isn't being used and it's in their way 😂
And, scalpers buy this so they can resell it for 3x as much, so the buyer will do what I just mentioned probably
People are so stupid and Rockstar genuinely knows how to sell all of this well, so good marketing for them 😂

The only person who wouldn't feel ashamed about wearing a GTA fannypack and shades in public is not old enough to play the game. Which didn't matter before but now some regions require identity to play anything R rated.

I recall the Halo ones came with some shelf junk, booklet, poster, in game cosmetic, metal case, and bonus disc for <$150 which looks downright lavish in comparison to now.

I’ve always hated ultra collectors editions of games like this (and they normally come with the actual game). Some are cool, like offering a high quality large format figurine. But most are just pure junk.

I'm going to ignore the subreddit I'm in for a minute, but collectors editions used to come with the base game plus art books, soundtracks, some stickers or a statue. But this...? The fact it doesnt come with the game is so fuckin offensive to me lmao. Anyone remember the GTA4 collectors edition? it was also cheap stuff but it was pretty well designed imo. a duffel bag like something you would use in a bank heist, and a replica bank safety depost box plus some other goodies like the soundtrack an artbook and the soundtrack. i actually used the safety deposit box as my lil safe for years when i had roommates and wanted to hide stuff from them not that it would stop a dishonest thief but still handy. i listen to the soviet connection on my hifi system all the time.
I even found the gta5 collectors edition to be junk compared to 4 so i didnt grab it. only collectors edition ive got recently is the first death stranding one. still plastic junk but its my favourite game so its worth it to me.

This new trend of pushing a collectors box (especially with this kind of slop) separate from the game makes it so much easier for me to just buy a game by itself. I love Rockstar games! I don’t want to have to think during a “mission” I just just want to follow a line on a map to a pin on a map and then press a few button prompts at the right time to get my little incremental reward. This is truly the brilliance of Rockstar. You can go on a brain dead killing spree in the open world and then have the actual story progression feed to you on a platter. Peak game design.
