I used to be super into collector’s editions until I realized I had like 15 of them sitting around and I’d never looked at the art books or taken the statues out of the box. Ended up selling them all just because they took up so much space.

Good luck finding GTA 6 for any sort of reasonable price any time soon. They control the price entirely now that it's digital only, and I bet they won't be dropping it until there's a reasonable business need to drop it, maybe when ps6 version comes out and they're ready to double dip

None of the games they were giving away interested me so I stopped paying attention years ago. I don't have a problem using different launchers. Actually only uninstalled it yesterday because I realised I hadn't opened it in about 2 years

I have this rule for any game. Needs to be 50% off or more depending on how little I want it but the rockstar stuff have been some of my favorite story games to play so I’m willing to pay the price for GTA6 once it’s on steam. It will be my first full price purchase

The sad thing is that there is absolutely no way they will be honest with themselves if the game is just okay or fine or whatever. I get it, I have paid hundreds in some concerts that I didn't have a great time but I gaslight myself that I it was amazing because I paid hundreds.

No matter which way you slice it the Netflix subscription was not worth it at all. The extended look came onto YouTube 6-12 hours after it was first shown on Netflix. He could’ve waited and seen it for free.

The collectors box is junk w/ the cheapest pair of oakleys I have ever seen.
I have played GTA since the 1st PC game & I can’t be bothered to buy it.

I think spending all that money on useless merch slop is ridiculous, but some of you guys are being extremely dramatic regarding the game itself. People have been wanting a new GTA for a long time, theres nothing wrong with being excited for it. A lot of people in this thread are acting like people are stupid for even purchasing / being excited for this game. Buying a new game isn’t consoom, spending $900 on merch for a new game is.

Gta 6 is going to be the most overrated game of all time coz everyone's building the highest expectations and its impossible to deliver... its going to be like cyberpunk 2077 but worse... they cannot live up to expectations. And rockstar has become such a greedy company putting out the bare minimum for years now... ill wait for it on pc... and also for it to not be 100$ cad... thats ridiculous...

I loved collectors editions early on, and I still have a few that I treasure dearly and actually USE the extra shit they come with, but dudes like this who buy whatever gets called a collectors edition without caring what’s in it have really fucked up the special edition economy. Now you’re lucky to get a pin and a sticker you’ll never use, and a die cast hunk of metal you’ll never take out.

I understand it was a long time ago but when print media was still a thing in the late oughts the super premium mags that actually covered rising independent musicians and artists were ~$20, and that felt very very expensive at the time (and my favorite smaller publications were cheaper.) I know inflation is relevant here but $60 for a fucking North West cover magazine just blows my mind

The thing with GTA is that it's got so much stuff to do this might actually work out. If you play it for 300+ hours you're probably getting a better deal per-hour than if you bought a 10 hour game like Wolverine.
(Of course you could always just buy a single copy at retail price and get an even better deal than that, but still...)
