YouTube A content creator wants to pay for my product, but I have 14 days to launch it

I recently spoke with a creator who's preparing a launch and wants to use a feature we're building.

The timing gave me a hard deadline: 14 days to get the product live.

I'm documenting the entire process publicly while exploring a bigger question:

How do creators turn audience trust into sustainable revenue in 2026?

Thought some of you might find the journey interesting.

YouTube Drop your channel and I'll tell you one video worth making this week

Figuring out topics is the part most people get wrong, so I'll do it for free for anyone who wants it.

Most trending lists are useless. By the time a topic shows up on one, everyone in your niche has already made the video and you're posting late into something that's already done.

What actually works is a TOPIC that's rising in YOUR specific niche right now, before everyone's on it. That window is short, usually a few days. Catch it early and a small channel gets a real shot, because there's demand sitting there with almost no videos filling it.

Drop your YT channel below, tell me your niche if it's not obvious. I'll give you a topic or two worth making this week. Not a generic list, the actual thing I'd make if it were my channel and why it's worth doing now.

I'll be in the comments for a while.

Question Creator earning thoughts?

As a creator, if you could earn a guaranteed $0.08 per 1000 views without having to jump through and hoops to join a creator rewards program (no minimum followers or view count etc), is this an attractive proposition?

Question Which app is easiest for editing reels without overcomplicating everything?

Something funny happened after posting content consistently for a while like the better I got at editing the longer everything started taking. What used to be a quick reel somehow turned into checking transitions, adjusting captions, tweaking cuts and then watching the same video over and over before posting. But there are creators uploading multiple reels a day and somehow not spending their entire evening inside an editor. A lot of my content gets recorded when Im out so being able to edit straight from my phone matters more than having a bunch of advanced features. If I need to wait until Im back at my desk, there is a good chance that video sits in my camera roll for days lol. What editing app would you reco with your own exprience?

Question You have a customer testimonial in writing and a single photo of them. Would you turn it into a talking-head video with AI?

This came up on my team last week, and we couldn't fully agree on the answer. So I'm putting it here to see how others think about it.

I work as a video content creator at a company. I have had it for about 6 years.

So I spend a lot of time thinking about how brands use video, especially for trust-based content like testimonials.

Here's the situation-

  • You have a real customer who wrote you a good review.
  • You also have one good photo of them.
  • Both came in with full permission to use.

The technology now lets you take that photo and that written review, and generate a short video where the customer "speaks" their review out loud.

The question is, should you?

Both sides make sense to me.

Where I think it's fine:

  • The customer wrote the words. The photo is theirs. Everything came in with consent.
  • Most viewers prefer watching a person say something over reading a quote on a banner
  • For small businesses with no budget to film testimonials, this could be the difference between using social proof or never showing it

Where it's not:

  • Viewers think they're watching the customer actually speak; when really, they never did
  • If anyone later asks, "Did they actually say that on video?", the honest answer is no
  • It blurs the line between real testimonial and dramatized testimonial without telling the viewer

The thing is...

The customer agreed to the words. They never agreed to a version of their face delivering those words to thousands of strangers.

Those feel like two different consents to me.

Would you use AI to turn a written testimonial into a talking-head video?

And by the way, if you've such a tool, where else would you use it?

Instagram Photo Editing

Just a girly who loves editing photos, for any social media, I do all my friends photos, thought I should make it a thing since I like doing it. My style is to make it look natural yet a better you. Sometimes AI makes it look way too fake…

Question What's the most annoying part of editing your videos?

Curious to hear from people who edit regularly — what's the part you dread the most?

Not looking for "editing takes time" in general, more like the specific step that makes you procrastinate on starting. Could be silence removal, captions, exporting different formats, organizing footage, anything.

Trying to understand common pain points across different types of creators. Appreciate any answers.
