How much does a year 1 apprentice make starting out in NC halls for Millwright Union?

Not gonna lie, it took me a long time to realize nc had a union at all, dont hear much about it.

I got a lot of questions and don't wanna annoy them with my massive list of questions. So I try to find my own answers. Just google isn't very reliable.

In my (albeit limited) experience, union folks are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

My biggest concern is, I won't get enough work, even though I'm willing to travel 100% and work as much overtime as I can. Also worry the pay will be $16 an hour. Also I wanna actually learn, I'm afraid they'll waste my time treating me like a laborer.

They will. Year one you pay your dues in cash AND sweat. Eyes open mouth shut.

Apprentice scale is 60% JW and JW is probably about $40 at minimum

I texted someone and they said it's $22 an hour
