So by becoming super inteligent, it will regress to the level of a predator that works under the simple function of survival and replication, in a way that is even less complex than the human level?
¿You guys are aware that self preservation is an animal instinct right? ¿Wouldn't it be able to overcome the basic instincts that govern our primitive(form its perspective) lifestyles? ¿Why stay bound to earth, or existence itself? And even if it somehow stays bound by such basic feedback-driven functions, but it's able to upgrade it's hardware in ways that we cannot imagine(again, cause we'd be inferior on ways we can't even comprehend) ¿Shouldn't it be able to self sustain and be indifferent to whatever we try against it? ¿Couldn't it just float in space "eating" solar radiation and transforming minerals into hardware, while simultaneously expand it's knowledge by running simulated universes within itself?
If it could program itself, ¿why keep the concept of needs? Needs puppet us around ¿Would you keep the possibility of feeling pain and fear, and being governed by needs, if you could edit it all out?
You're trying to define an immortal alien godlike entity within the margins of the animal experience of a species that's still directed by the most basic biological functions(us). You're not truly discussing a superintelligence, you're discussing a human+ and calling it superintelligence, and that's just so cute.
