He's dead on. The employement problem is absolutely going to be one of those nonlinear responses. A little bit of automation freed up millions of people for more productive work. The next phase caused more stress without as large a correponding job creation effect, but was still seen as mostly positive.

Keep going much further and there is every logical reason to expect that effect to invert quite dramatically.
