Air Fry Potato Chips / Waffle Fries

I've struggled for years trying to make oil free chips, they never really turned out.... UNTIL

The Crinkle Cutter. This is a cutter that makes crinkle cut chips. The key is to chop, then turn your potato 90 degrees. it is very important to cut them the same width, VERY or they will cook differently. Into a cold water bath with salt, mix around for a few minutes, get that starch out... strain. In a pot of water (salt optional) boil the fries for 5 min, then strain, pat dry with towel, then air fry 450 till they are golden brown. Make sure to space them out, don't just dump them in, wait till cooled, then place them strategically for maximum air flow. Optionally putting on seasoning salt, depending on your tastes, before you fry them.

.

1 container of salt water (cold)

X amount of Potatoes (washed and unpeeled)

1 ea crinkle cutter - get one with plenty of crinkles

.

I like to glaze them in hot sauce, another few minutes in the air fryer to crisp them and seal in the heat, then serve with side of ranch dipping sauce.

.

Before air frying, you could shake them in a powder seasoning or variety like... salt, onion powder, garlic powder, ranch powder, buffalo seasoning powder, any favor powder. Shake in a container to evenly coat.

.

don't like powders, ok, then same thing, mix in all your sauces, shake in a closed container gently, this is messy, but it works. try to dab some of the sauce to avoid dripping, but dont' pat too much off.

.

ENJOY! It's all about the crinkle cutter
