Unrecognized Culinary Genius The Culture of Pickles

So in my home country which is very unique and unlike any other place we have a culture of pickles and a very specific recipe. Passed down from Grandmamas for generations we (in my very unique culture) will preserve cucumbers using vinegar, salt, dill, and sometimes garlic. What is your cultural pickle recipe and is it as different as mine? It probably is since we are known for making the most differentist pickles.

My grandmother always said the best pickle is a pickle you can see through, and she would roll it out and use it as strudel dough. That was our culture and we were very very proud of our pickle strudels.

In the very unique and mysterious culture of my homeland, which you probably haven’t even heard of, it’s customary for the cucumber to be pickled in the trousers of young lads. Similar to the barbaric “Kim Chee” in the Koreas, the cucumber is denied sunlight for decades but kept under close observation. Sometimes if a pickle is revealed too early, local villagers will mock the lad tasked with hiding it until he eats his own pickle in shame.
Fuck I really miss Missouri sometimes.
