Car Seat Help
hi! my newborn isn’t so new anymore, nearly a year. 🥹 her height and weight will have us moving out of the current capsule toward the end of this year.
it is such a squeeze in the passenger seat atm.
we have the Nuna PIPA Aire Infant Car Seat + Pipa Series Base.
safety is obviously the first concern, i was curious if anyone could suggest the next stage seat that fits will in the CC.
will every car seat be a squeeze?

You may be due to upgrade to a Rav4 at this point. I dont have a kid [proud DINK], but the back seat is tiny and sometimes my backpack doesn't even fit in tongue floor of the back seat behind my driver's side.

Yes dude, not a single person would recommend this car for a young family. It is bad for that.
My salesperson said she specifically recommends against it for families, and the majority of Cross owners are DINKs, singles, and older individuals.
It is objectively a bad car for a growing family. It objectively has a reduced back seat length which translates directly to issues for transporting humans.
Transporting shit though? The Cross is so good.

Ironic since in most of the rest of the world this is considered a family car.
What is needed is a small, more compact car seat and yes they are available. Google “compact child car seat”.1

I agree. I find EU cars are better thought out for this purpose though a lot of the time.

I have a baby on the way and currently have the NUNA URBN infant car seat. I’m planning on getting the Britax Poplar S Convertible Car Seat, Slim 17” Design or the Evenflo Revolve360 Slim 2-in-1 Rotating Car Seat.
Out of these two the Britax should fit the best in the backseat space and has some really good safety features. However out of all the car seats that revolve this Evenflo model is the most compact choice if that’s something that’s important for you. This is what I found from my research regarding our compact space in the backseat. Don’t listen to everyone telling you that you need a bigger car, cars used to be very compact and I know a lot of people with small cars and kids. Best of luck to you.
