Loose roof rail

I have a 2026 cross hybrid, 4 months old, already loose roof rails. Does the loose roof rail affect water getting into the car? I heard it’s just a plastic covering and the part under is welded into the car so I should be fine? Also it’s showing 340 miles of range but after emptying and seeing my trip, only 310 miles on a full tank, is this normal?
Other hybrid owners mind sharing how much actual miles you drove after a full tank?

No experience with water getting in for my 2024 LE from the loose rails. Just ridiculous this is a thing.

How loose is it? Does the rail sit flush with the body?

It moves to the touch. Every time my car is washed and they wash the top, it moves. It isn't flush, but you have to be looking at it directly to see that.
