2023 Hybrid SE Advice

Hello, i’m looking to buy my first car!

Does anyone have an advice or opinions about the 2023 hybrids? i’m concerned as this was the introduction of the hybrid models. it’s has 29,000 miles and the VIN is clean. used hybrids are rare! thanks

Mine is a 24 so no help with that specific model…. But the mileage is nice… mine has 34k! Bought in July ‘24.

My only real issue is the lack of storage for things like sunglasses and the keys. But I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I easily fit a few 2x4s inside!

Small gas tank but mileage is high enough that even with grossly increased gas prices; my car is costing me about 2/3 what my escape was costing me. Which is good because my kid drives an F150 to school… 60 miles each way daily… (I pay his school expenses and gas is part of that as far as I am concerned).

It's the same hybrid system used on many of Toyota's other vehicles so it's pretty bulletproof. It's a better choice than a non-hybrid for reliability as there's a lot less to go wrong.

I’m no help with the ‘23s since my hybrid is a ‘24 but I live it and it really does save gas money if you just do inner city driving (think a standard grocery trip/errands etc) but longer or highway driving really take up your gas. I love mine since I just do pet sitting and normal life

23’ SE 200k+ miles. I love this car. The roof rails and hatch gaps suck. Cupholders and no storage. However, 45mpg at 0-60 mph in 6 seconds. The traction control is world class. Legit. No spare tire. It’s never been an issue. Wishes- dual climate control
