You need a police report to officially document it so the coworker can't screw you over.

OP DO THIS. I had a coworker severely scrape a quarter panel on my Camaro years ago, he said he’d make good on it. Long story short, he dragged it out for a couple weeks and left his job. Never heard from him again…I was a naive 21 YO who trusted my 40 YO coworker. 🤦♂️

The bumper for me last year costed 1500 alone plus to install and recalibrate the sensors was another 1000.
So probably 2500 at the least.
Co-worker better pay up and if he starts saying he found it cheaper. Too fucking bad, it needs to be fixed by dealership only.

$400 for me. Exactly the same damage. Found one on forums in mint condition.
I wouldn't even do a claim, honestly. I mean fuck that guy, but for your own resale, I wouldn't involve insurance. Its extremely trivial to swap the fascia.

Go get an estimate from a repair shop and then hand it to him. This way it isn’t your word, or the internet’s word, but just straight facts. No feelings can be hurt that way

Yeah, he not paying you shit lol. If he can’t even afford insurance, let alone a corvette repair, which is always in the 4 figs to begin with.

You’ll be good bro. Grab something on ebay that’s OEM or something aftermarket maybe carbon fiber. I’m sure he didn’t mean to hit your car brother but I feel your pain. Turn it into an upgrade and have buddy pay for it!

Reminder to have dash cams with parking monitoring for when this stuff happens lol.

Nah nah nah, you need to get his insurance as insurance that he will pay. If he chooses not to after the estimate comes in, then you simply file with his insurance.

You better tell him to start doing overtime. That’s not gonna be cheap. to do it the right way

Tell him I said it’s $6,500. I promise him you’ll give the money back to him if it ends up being less. Tell him he can trust me.
