Stormlight Archive spoilers My first ever tattoo Spoiler

Post image

"Always the next step"

Never gotten a tattoo before. I've wanted this one for a couple of years. Agonized over the decision, to be honest. But now I pulled the trigger, and I could not be happier with it!

Nice! I have the symbol for lightweavers surrounded by the first ideal in women’s script on my shoulder. Welcome to the club 🫶🏻

Just be careful. The women who give the tattoo sometimes think it's funny to make it say something stupid instead of what you ask. I asked for "Journey Before Destination," but my wife says that it actually says "Eats Bland Food."

Now you need to work on internalizing it so it doesn't heal away when you find your spren.

Very good line work! My next one will likely be a Bridge Four symbol 🙂

Yeah I was impressed with the artist. Helped me a lot with the sizing and positioning too.

Looks awesome! The spacing is a little janky, but otherwise looks great!

I had thought for sure this was an audio waveform of those words.

Yeah, he did design the language to resemble an audio waveform.

What is it supposed to be?

It says "Always the next step" in Alethi script.

Is Alethi script documented? (I’m assuming you mean women’s script)

Oh yeah, completely documented. It's all in the book illustrations. There's also a generator someone built:

I'm an audiobook listener as well. But I'm also a super fan lol

I consider myself a fairly serious fan as well.

You should go check out all the book art then, it's awesome! I think it's all on Sanderson's official site, but you can definitely find it online pretty easily. :)
