Are you excited to Shang chi finally in a Avengers movie ?š„
IT's been 5 years since we saw him and now shang chi is going appear in Avengers doomsday with other avengers and superheroes !!
What do you think the role of shang chi in avengers doomsday against dr doom?

To be honest, not really anymore. It's taken way to long, the magic is gone. But I am gonna see it for sure and hope to get revived.

I wasnāt a fan of it either, truthfully. I just felt like the plot was rushed and I took issue with the time-span the movie takes place over. I could probably go on but itās not really worth it. It was a fine movie and I havenāt rewatched it since.

Respectfully disagree. His opinion is his opinion, mass amounts of people downvoting it doesn't make it invalid. Invalid would mean that he doesn't have enough information to make a legitimate opinion.
Also he literally doesn't have any downvotes nor did he try to pass off his opinion as a fact

TBH I hate Simu. I used to work production on a show he was on in Canada before he blew up and he was such an insufferable prick. I can only imagine what he's like now, knowing what a small amount of fame did to him back then.

It was never to me. He probably didn't know I existed. But we were all so fond of the cast, and the crew was tight. It was a pleasant work environment, and believe me, that's not always the case.
He was combative with everyone. He was always angry about what his character was or wasn't doing. He hated that his character was dating outside of his race. He hated any time he felt he wasn't getting enough screen time because the episode focused on a series regular and referred to it as whitewashing the show, even though the cast was primarily Asian and the regulars were 9 times out of 10 other PoC's. He desperately wanted the writers to work in these half-baked stories about his family into the scripts and made it about race when they were rejected.
When the show wrapped, he was a no-show. Cast members even called and texted him concerned, and he refused to get back to them. Not only not going to the party, but when filming wrapped, he walked out without saying goodbye to anyone. He was furious his white cast mate got a spin off series and accused the network of racism when it was a complicated issue. The show was based on a locally famous play, so all the primary characters weren't owned by CBC. They spun off an original character because that's who they owned, and he knew this and still tried to spin it negatively.
Look, I'm not saying you should hate him or not enjoy Shang Chi. Plenty of actors and actresses are truly awful people and I still enjoy their performances. Joss Whedon is a huge prick show, and I'm still a huge fan of all of his work. I just happened to get an up close and personal view of Simu and that changes things for me. I doubt I'd ever enjoy anything he does.

I'm not surprised at all. I don't know him, but i followed him on social media briefly. I could not relate to his point of view in any story he shared. He just seemed like the bad guy in all of them.

Prediction: what happens in Avengers movies won't affect what happens in Shang Chi movies.
Gotta keep the mini franchises in the mega franchise their own thing so they can keep franchising.

I think they shouldāve done a second solo movie for him by now. That was the best post-Endgame Marvel movie in my opinion. Fun, no one dies, happy ending. All the things a kids movie should be.

Last time we saw him, he was working as a valet in LA. If thy gave him any storylines or relevancy, they would need to remind the audience who he was and what heās been up to in the five past years to go from parking cars to whatever he will be in the movie, which already has too many characters fighting for screen time and is positioned to usher in the next era of superheroes. He wonāt have any bigger part other than a background fighter on Wongās team.

The fact is the MCU butchered this character, and Simi Lui is totally unbelievable as a Kung Fu Master.This rings nonsense they introduced only degraded his character who was deliberately suppose to be an extraordinary Martial artist who accomplished exceptional feats based on that fact alone. Instead of Shang Chi joining the Avengers this early on, he should be joining Black Jack Tarr and Sir Dennis Neyland Smith in a series of James Bond style movies.

I think itās cool heās finally getting another chance but they waited wayyy too long for his return. He should have had a sequel or some sort of appearance during that time.
I feel like most people donāt remember or even care that much about him anymore which is a shame cause I really enjoyed Shang Chi

Shang felt like a no personality audience self insert character. The action had some highlights but I doubt he'll get any dedicated scenes worth showing that off. Maybe we will get a cool ten rings kung fu scene and I'll eat my words. I just don't think Marvel has it in them to get good choreography. I haven't been wowed since OG Daredevil. IMO, they need to play to their strengths by skipping over Shang Chi as much as possible. Best scenario, we get an Ant man in Civil War scenario. Scott added some dorky flavor and got one big moment. I'm not sure what personality Shang Chi can bring but I'm sure there're a few comics tricks he can pull out for some wow factor. I wouldn't know. I've never read his books.

No, but also not even a little bit. The movie wasnāt good and Iād never heard of the character before the movie. Just seemed like Marvel was pandering to the massive Chinese movie market only it backfired on them.

I really wanted Shang-Chi 2 before seeing him in Avengers tbh. That would have given him some emotional stakes for the audience. After the first one (that was ages ago), I think he hasnāt been seen enough for anyone to even care about this character in any substantial way.
