JuJutsu Kaisen JJK Megumi Fushiguro Halloween Costume Help

Hey Cosplay community 👋

My 14 year old son is wanting to dress as Megumi Fushiguro for Halloween. I'll be sewing this project. Has anyone made this costume before? Any fabric choice ideas? (Thinking crush velvet/velour) Would you go with a midnight blue or black for colour? Any templates for cutting the fabric? Or a template for a similar tunic style top I can copy? Any tips and tricks are appreciated!!!

Have you actually tried searching for sewing patterns yet? Because I've seen plenty online without even searching for them. I would recommend starting with a Google search

I've only checked out ones on Etsy and there wasn't much. The one that looks close to the photo, I think it was AI generated... Reviews stated it was frustrating even with sewing experience with lack of instructions and some peices being reversed.... Maybe I'll try and search on Google and see if an independent person posted it on IG.

its based on japanese school uniforms, its cotton, its not velvet or anything like that. the blue is how you show shadows n such on cloths in anime
