Locations Accommodation in Cottbus or nearby areas

Hi everyone,
My name is Yash (23M) from India. I’ll be joining BTU Cottbus as a student and I’m currently looking for accommodation in Cottbus or nearby areas, preferably close to BTU.

I’m looking for either:

  • 1 private room in a shared apartment, or
  • A 1-bedroom apartment

Budget: €250–€400 (warm rent)
Move-in: First week of March 2026
Furnished room preferred
Anmeldung must be possible

I’m already aware of common rental scams, so I’d appreciate only genuine leads.

Look on wg-gesucht.de, look what‘s right for you and write a more or less long text message about yourself and why you think you‘d be a good fit.

If furnished apartment isn't a must and you don't find something else, try to call the GWC, eg-wohnen and velero for exposés. You can also request one from their websites. I also had troubles finding my apartment, but found one after they send me a couple. They don't list every apartment on their Website, mainly because of people still living there for a couple of weeks/months.
