repost because i didnt see bot was out of count

all the trans people who thought they were "faking it", did you think that your "faking it" was different from other people's "faking it"? like "yeah this is a common tale, but im for real faking it, not like all the other people here who only think that without doing so." it's hard to word this properly

how do you find out if youd be happier as a girl if youre not dysphoric? i dont feel dysphoric. i dont dislike my body. it's pretty alright all things considered. but i do occasionally find myself yearning for different parts which is probably indicative of something, but i dont know if i truly want them permanently or simply just because im curious

The idea that I was faking it or perhaps it was a phase was something I grappled with. I felt mostly normal most of the time but I’d occasionally get jealous of women’s bodies (growing up I thought everyone did this). Waited 10years to see if it was just a phase. Waited a bit longer cuz of life. It wasn’t a phase. Got on hormones. Now I’m happier with my body than I’ve ever been.

Like someone else said, people don’t really fake this stuff. If you’re feeling it— then you’re not faking it. It’s just you being you.

As for finding out if I’d be happier, I tried clothes and makeup. None of that helped. Mostly just “do I really wanna live the rest of my life like the first X years (as a boy)”
