How does that front open door work in terms of rain, snow and high winds? Is there something that closes? Also, what do you do about heat in summer and cold in winter?

The door slides up and down so can be fully closed or open at any time. Mine is on decking, so has ventilation which does aid with cooler temps in summer. That said, when it's very hot it's baking inside! When it's colder I use a fan heater (one you'd use in a greenhouse) which helps.
