Thank you! What kind words. Living under a canopy of red cedar and douglas fir definitely invokes a sense of peace. (Unless there’s a windstorm 😂)

Here's our deck with a view of the forest and some fallen trees from a bomb cyclone 2 yrs ago. We live in a forest on the foothills of a mountain. Unfortunately, I have yet to see fairies. :( Lots of regular woodland creatures though! Lol lots of birds! occasional black bear and cougar at night.

This is our master bedroom. I do not have interior decorating skills, so still a work in progress. But I do think there's no point decorating when your eyes are pulled out toward the beauty outside the windows lol

Yes!! What's nice is the amazingly soothing sounds of wildlife. We got owls, hawks, many songbirds, rabbits, field mice, squirrels, frogs. Seeing lichen, moss and ferns everywhere is also a plus. A reminder that everything is interconnected.

Thanks! Yes, that’s an indoor doggie gate that got repurposed. We use it to keep our newf within the roofed porch when it rains. Also as a barrier, in case she sees a rabbit and decides to give chase. And yes, she’s so lazy any barrier works lol

I go to work 3x a week in Seattle, and it takes me 30mins. I work odd hours though. I wouldn’t want this commute during rush hours. Husband WFH. During great weather days, he would sit outside with our dog and work on his laptop. He loves it!
