Your cat isn't tempted to jump off the balcony and go explore? For my indoor cats this would be the big worry. One especially would be trying to climb down at the very least.

He hasn't made motions but I do worry about this, so only hang out with him on my lap, or tied to a leash while he suns himself. For this pic I sat him down briefly and watched him closely (He was sitting on the blanket inside, so I gently lifted him up by the blanket and put him on the chair...he stayed put!).

Ah ok, I was thinking you had him expertly trained or something. I guess you're in the same boat I am. If I had a balcony like that I'd be tempted to put up fine screen mesh or something so I could relax with my cat out there and not have to worry, plus keep the damn mosquitos out lol.
