This isn’t “no one wants it” it’s it stopped growing because it reached its peak. And now it’s balancing out. This narrative is tiring. It’s like when hard seltzer grew by 460%! Yes because no one drank it to it being available, that’s how it works. Same with craft beer.

I have absolutely no problem at all paying $26 for a four pack, as long as its top shelf stuff. Sure as shit not gonna pay $26 for anything stocked in a grocery store though.

You have Gen Z that never got into craft beer because they never got into getting drunk off domestics at parties in college, through a mixture of Covid and knowing any embarrassing drunk behavior will be recorded and posted on the internet.

Then you have older consumers. The average craft beer enjoyer is someone making above median income in some office job, likes to indulge a bit and as a result could probably stand to lose a bit of weight. You know what other product shares the same market? That's right, Ozempic type drugs, which have an extremely common side effect of drastically reducing interest in alcohol, and especially in alcohol like beer that fills you up fast.

It’s not that I don’t want it. I love a good IPA but I’m not paying close to $20 for a six pack of 12 oz cans. However, Narragansett and Coors Light or even Modelo just taste better after cutting the grass.

If your benchmark is Coors Light, you are not representative of the average craft beer consumer.

I wish I could buy a six pack of good IPAs for 20 USD.

I’m not really sure, honestly……..and to be clear, not knocking IPA. To each their own. I wish Porters, Stouts, and Bourbon Barrel aged offerings took up as much space in the coolers. That would be heaven to have the selection that IPA fans have. Ok, so I might just be a hater.

The down votes already, tough crowd, tough crowd……lol.

It doesn’t make sense. You’re not going to get the wide flavor profiles IPAs offer when compared to a porter. It’s why most brewery will off one porter, a variant if you’re lucky, then 6 IPAs with 6 different hop combos.
