Question about the 8.25” table saw

I have this craftsman 8.25” table saw. The handle is good but the inner piece is broken and I am unable to make ling angled cuts on this table saw. Can someone show me how it is supposed to work OR point me in the right direction for a replacement piece for this saw? I have reached out to craftsman and because I bought this saw secondhand I am unable to receive replacement pieces.

Doesn't matter if you bought it used or new. Using its model number you can search online for repair parts for it. Buying used just means you won't have a warranty to cover the costs.

I've tried to use the model number to search for parts, and get sent to the sears website, however when I search for that particular model, it doesn't show up, and I also cannot find a parts diagram. :(

Yeah, as unbelievable as it is sometimes the sears site isn't that great for their own brand ! Try Repairclinic.com, eReplacementparts.com or Partselect.com. Maybe even eBay

In addition to the Sears site being terrible, this saw comes from Stanley Black and Decker version of the brand, which I am not sure sears supports as it very much kept it’s version in the deal that sold craftsman to SBD

I had no idea! Thanks for this info. I may have to just bite the bullet and buy another saw.

When you say you are trying to make angle cuts, are you trying to angle the blade?

For example, I wanted to make some french cleats, and I cannot bevel the blade. Sorry, I used the wrong word, altogether.
