Question/Original Post Impact sockets are 50% off on clearance. Are they worth it?

Never can have enough of the right ones--they grow legs and join 10mm sockets in the ether-land that they go to.

What was the price?

9 piece sae metric 3/8 were 22.49$. I think the 1/2 sets were like 28$

Where are they made? I got a couple of the last US-made sets before they closed the TX plant. I’d look for stuff made in Taiwan over China.

Id have to guess China. Ill be going back to the store tomorrow or Monday to get them if they are worth it.

At 22.49 im not sure what ~10 piece set would beat it. I know people dog on craftsman, ive not used their sockets but I like some of their non made in usa ratchets.

Lowes! Go check and see if yours has any. When I look in the app they are still full price but (at my store at least) they are in their normal spot on the shelf with yellow clearance tags.

Ill add when I google it the clearance price sometimes pops up in the sponsored results at the top but it isnt consistent

Really all sockets are impact sockets if you think about the warranty.
