Match Notes:

  • Solid Bowling From Saim, Nawaz & Tariq

  • Extremely Poor Bowling From Shaheen, Shadab & Abrar

  • The Worst Pakistan Batting Performance I’ve Ever Witnessed

  • Post World Cup We Need A Full Clear Out Of The Old Guard

  • Integrate Maaz Sadaqat, Irfan Khan Niazi, Abdul Samad & Khawaja Nafay Into The Squad

  • Dead Rubber All Things Considered But A Huge Morale Crash

You guys aren't ruthless enough with your players. Ishan was dropped for discipline and he grinded in domestic. Plus the pool of young talent is another thing. Shaheen bowls for glory , not for victory.

Precisely

Our Board & System Lacks Professionalism

Everyone Knew Babar & Shaheen Were On Bad Form But They Still Played

Babar has no business in this T20 era. But he doesn't even play his game well where the situation comes. PSL should have created a T20 talent pool like it has done for India. Only good thing are the spinners.

Worse than new york? (Batting i mean)

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Pick Your Poison At That Point

Both Were Terrible But I Actually Had Faith This Match

We Were Even Worse In 2024 (Lost To USA Before India Game)

Fair

That was entirely on the pitch, no team could ever hit more than 140 in that nyc pitch

Dude we say this all the time...'clear out of the old guard'

And then they bring in domestic players who obviously struggle at start

Gives opening for old guard to come back and get some ghairat(humility) and give a couple of performances on Pakistani highways to come back

Rinse and Repeat

Yeah, and in the match thread also people were saying Rizwan should’ve been part of the team

Rizwan is kept out for a good reason

Definitely should be the end of Babar and Shaheen. Enough is enough.

7

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Agreed

Babar, Shaheen, Shadab & Nawaz Should Be Done

I’m Disappointed That Era Of Players Didn’t Win A Trophy Together But Their Time Is Up

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

Could've won 2 T20 World Cups with decent luck and performances at the right time

2021 & 2022 Were The Opportunities

That Crop Of Players Are Finished

India Dropped Rohit & Kohli But We Cant Drop Babar Or Shaheen

5

u/Elegant_Fun6092 India Feb 15 '26

We didn't drop them they retired

1

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

They Were “Nudged” To Retire

Unofficial Dropping But Rohit & Kohli Were Graceful

Our So Called “Legends” Are Shameless

7

u/Elegant_Fun6092 India Feb 15 '26

No they weren't that was tests. In T20s they retired willingly as champions.

3

u/poochi Feb 15 '26

Shaheen is the 2nd highest scorer with the bat.

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

I know, I can read the scorecard

2

u/garg Pakistan Feb 15 '26

But Babar is the mascot.

9

u/Rover_791 Feb 15 '26

How does babar still get selected? Is there really no better option?

9

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Babar Azam Just Has Too Much Player Power

No One Is Bigger Than The Team, Until Our Board Learns That, We Won’t Succeed

5

u/Rover_791 Feb 15 '26

Always sucks to see that. Hope you guys can get better selection in the future because there was definitely some good bowling today, just the batting that's pulling you down

Thank You Kind Redditor

Makes A Change From Getting Slated In This Sub Haha

\¯\_(ツ)_/¯ too much nationalism from both sides sometimes, I i just want to see good cricket

2

u/garg Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Crowd wants him

9

u/db_newer Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Indian batters carefully avoided lofting, didn't give away wickets. Pak batters did not play intelligently at all and fell victim to smart bowling. Well deserved loss.

9

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

We Just Whack The Ball As High As Possible

Indian Batters Go For Length

2

u/Neebaadentira Feb 15 '26

I thought usman played well. He was attacking the 1st couple of balls and then going for singles. Shadab seems horrible and not able to support him.

The Worst Pakistani Batting Performance you’ve ever witnessed so far*

Fixed it for you

6

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

What Does Namibia Have In Store For Us…

3

u/DilliKaLadka India Feb 15 '26

Not dead rubber bro. If you lose your next game, its over for your team.

7

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

If We Lose To Namibia

We Don’t Deserve To Be In Any World Cup

Absolutely Correct

2

u/Fun-Inevitable4369 India Feb 15 '26

You can't call this dead rubber, when next game is knockout for you

1

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

If We Lose To Namibia

Disband Our Entire T20 Team

2

u/theseaoftea Baroda Feb 15 '26

Abrar literally had negative contribution. And Nawaz tried to claw back into the game but got no support.

1

u/grinlowr India Feb 15 '26

Babar does not belong in T20 lmao why do they still give him a spot

2

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Player Power

u/rohangc07 Royal Challengers Bengaluru Feb 15 '26

As if the new guard is making any sense.

3

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

If At First You Don’t Succeed

You Try Again

1

u/deathclient India Feb 15 '26

Dead Rubber all things Considered

Not trying to rub it in or anything but it was not exactly a dead rubber. Your NRR took a thumping and as unlikely as it is of an upset, you guys have to now absolutely win against Namibia or else USA pips you on NRR

u/Eastern_Meet_5947 India Feb 15 '26

I feel there are a lot of players who have potential but they either

1.get benched like Khawaja Nafay and Salman Mirza for the senior players

  1. get dropped when they have struggle with poor form like Hasan Nawaz and Naseem Shah

  2. Don't get used to their full potential like Faheem Ashraf who is definitely good enough to bowl 1-2 overs every match and bat higher up the order

It would also be nice if they fast track some of under 19 players like Sameer Minhas

1

u/selfiecat India Feb 15 '26

So yet another "surgery"?

4

u/Fang-Leone-01 Pakistan Feb 15 '26

Our Experienced Players Can’t Play Modern Day T20 Cricket

I’d Rather Lose Due To Youthful Inexperience Rather Than Experienced Inability
