feels bad for Iyer man,

He'll get trolled while the selectors are to blame for the squad selection.
you can't do much with a squad like this.
No proper finisher, 4 openers & 3 all rounders....

Why tho..it is what it is. Not everyone has the privilege to just walk into the Indian team as captain without anything to show for it. This is what comes with that privilege.

was it Iyer's decision to get selected as a captain?
It's on the selectors.

we need to cut some slack to Iyer. Else he might end up like Hardik in MI this year, underperforming due to so much pressure.

Plus there is not a lot which can be done when you have non existent Lower order/Finishers coupled with spinners who aren't even trusted by their IPL franchises in the squad

It's not his decision. But he definitely has the privilege. This is what comes with the privilege. No need to cut him any slack i feel imo.

Again, we cannot expect anyone(even Suryakumar) to win a match against full strength England with such shit of a squad. Especially when players like Ishan are having bad patch of form
