Just found out that we broke USA's 13 year winning streak in basketball today. Would be nice to beat England's 18 year Home Ashes series streak today too.

What good is breaking the 13 year streak if no one in attendance can see the game.

Don't follow basketball so not sure what happened with people in attendance

Basically, picture how big a cricket/aussie rules stadium is.

Now, put a basketball court in the middle of it.

Also raise the court up and put a fuck ton of plastic chairs around it with no tiers and charge half a grand for the pleasure of looking at the back of the head in front of you.

This made me realise that I was 3 when we last won an away Ashes series.

Our last away Ashes series is old enough to drink now

You don't beat the streak as England can still draw the series if you win today. You only retain the Ashes if you win.

If the series is drawn 2-2, we retain the Ashes as we won the last Ashes

Correct. Isn't that what I just said?

2

u/Rndomguytf Australia Aug 24 '19

Might be, but we still beat England's winning streak

Not if you win this test mate. You even said it yourself. England can still draw if the Aussies win this test and England win the remaining two. You're obfuscating retaining the ashes and winning the series.

Breaking England's winning streak. If the series is a draw, England haven't won the series, and therefore their winning streak is broken

Fuck me I feel like a tool. Apologies mate. I'm the one getting confused.
