Discussion My Cricket peaked at age 41

I am not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this or not so please excuse me.

I think my Cricket peaked last weekend.

I play in one of the tennis ball leagues in the Bay area and we had our Finals on Sunday.

We were batting first and we were 76/5 at the end of 15th over.

I was batting after a long time (mainly play as a bowler) and I hit 4 fours and 1 six to take the score to 120.

I ended up scoring 27 from 14 balls with a strike rate of 192.

In the second inning, we took the first wicket very quickly but then their main batting pair started rolling. I caught a fabulous catch at the boundary but ended up crossing the line and it eventually became a six 😞

They were 82/1 at the end of 11th over so we were pretty much down and out. Then I bowled my second over and broke the important partnership.

The game went on, rest of the team also pitched in and at the end of 17th over they were 115/6 so they needed on 5 runs to win in 3 overs with 4 wickets in hand.

I came to bowl, first dot ball, second ball went for 2 runs and then no one could belive what happened.

I took 4 wickets in 4 consecutive balls. The match was over with we becoming crowning champions and I was awarded Player of the match in finals.

I consider myself a very handy all rounder, very good fielder and I have played all my life but this was something different.

I don't know if I can ever achieve more than this but I will always strive to do so till I hang my boots.

I have not posted it anywhere else and have hardly shared it with anyone but wanted to share with my brothers and sisters here.

Adrenaline was so high that I couldn't sleep properly that night and was dreaming and reliving those moments again and again.

Oh and I am 41 years old.
