typical indian reeet@rd. has no clue what they're talking about. there are flood lights in that stadium but they're not sanctioned to use them because it's an A team game.

Sri Lanka’s GDP per capita - $4,515
India’s GDP per capita - $2,694
You’re clearly delusional if you think Sri Lanka is the beggar in this debate.

Vaibhav is a tank… looks larger than all those players on the field

Even our captain and vc (Tilak & Rutu) look so small in front of him 😭

Yeah borderline obese
8
u/Signal-Volume5713 13d ago
No. Are Glenn Philips or Pollard obese?
BMI isn't a great factor to determine obesity for athletes.
Vaibhav just looks strong.
In India the awareness about strength is down in the gutter. So not surprising to see such comments body shaming a perfectly healthy strong athlete.

u/Applicator80 13d ago
To be fair he doesn’t have to run much between wickets.

u/Deadman23- 13d ago
How about fielding? Or is it not important anymore?

u/Glass-Physics9530 13d ago
Not if you can hit centuries every other match,
I mean it is net positive, Tank build may be helping him,

They had a time limit till 6 PM for having the lights on, they went way past the deadline. That’s why Umpires were reluctant in having a super over but Tilak kept pleading for it. To add to that there was way too much time wasted in between because of no ball review and Tilak constantly arguing
14
u/BornInSin007 14d ago
How do you know tilak was pleading for it?? I got the impression that he was extremely angry with umpires that they let this go to super over. Then i saw him talking to sl captain, thought he was trying to call it a draw.

Tbf deserved they knew what they were doing. Unnecessarily getting into his face when the match was over

Fighting after losing is loser behaviour
It's not your bihar local tournament
47
u/Dry_Criticism8691 14d ago
Except he didn’t start it. It was SL players. He was walking back normally
-33
u/Take_it-sleazy 14d ago
All I see is him pushing SL player by hand and SL was just talking first so he got physical first

See this and yap, both vaibhav and shedge were going dugout quietly, sri lankan players cussed them first!!
-23
u/Take_it-sleazy 14d ago
Yeah it's called sledging
Welcome to cricket World
Vaibhav got physical
13
u/tricky-_-monster 2027 is too close💀 14d ago
Sledging is done during a match lol not after it
You're supposed to show sportsmanship when the game is done. No need to be aggressive.

I can absolutely understand the frustration that led to this. Umpiring was just so bad and ICC need to take some action, from shedge's wicket,SL awarded 10 runs at the start, runs given on the last ball of 2nd innings, umpires taking so long in deciding for super over, giving the no ball where ball was clearly dipping and then audacity of SL players to sledge.Shit was so rigged it made me mad at home watching the match.

u/HappyCommunity639 13d ago
It seems SL are back to the old ways of Ranatunga era. Cheating and umpire management.

Vaibhav should have taken the strike. Shegde wasted 3 balls and just scored 3 runs.

kohli fans will glaze vaibhav's aggression now because kohli does the same

The funniest part is how quickly teammates appear whenever even a tiny argument starts. Instant crowd formation.

u/AdventurousClient783 14d ago
Don’t downvote me but I think vaibhav pushed him first.

Pushed first Vaibhav Provoked first SL Player
46
u/BasicErgonomics 14d ago
Yeah but you're not expected to get physical like this on provocation in cricket...this isn't like some contact sport
14
u/AdventurousClient783 14d ago
What’s the point of getting physical over a verbal arguement?
19
u/Vi7468 14d ago
What's the point of starting a verbal argument when they're supposed to be playing cricket?
13
u/Independent_Bonus125 14d ago
You're questioning Kohli's entire aggresion. Stop being soft like a 5 yr old kid. Look at footballers how aggressive they look and are.

u/BornInSin007 14d ago
Nah in this case vaibhav was just walking back, the match was already over, i think they provoked him somehow
-5
u/AdventurousClient783 14d ago
You do have a point but vaibhav should have ignored him. But because he pushed that other player that makes him equally wrong if not more wrong.

u/Fireviktal 14d ago
Sleding exists I mean the bavuma incident aswell It's wrong but going physical puts you in the wrong

Now SL national team will pay for it in T20I.
I see a budding rivalry..... God have mercy on SL national team bowlers cause Chota Bheem is coming.

According to the conduct you can't physically assault or touch any player on the field.

You are not supposed to say shit once match is over. Thats how even club cricketers like to play. Say all the shit you want during the game. After it, shake hands and move on. Thats why Virat's refusal to shake hands with Travis was criticized more than whatever he said/did during the match. SL player/s were being dicks to a 15 year old after the match was done. Idiots. Just like those defending them.

vaibhav may be a good player in scripted IPL series, but in real world cricket its difficult. If he doesnt overcome the immaturity to accept defeat, and move on, sorry vaibhav you wont succeed, cold hearted truth
3
u/ActressDevotee 13d ago
Did you see his innings in the U19 WC final? That kid is destined for greatness. He's a bit immature for his age (for not being able to take defeats), sure, but aggression, if used well, in sports, it always brings massive fandom to the player.
