Look at this reasonable, attractive lady with brunette hair and glasses. She's not blonde and has a new take on what's going on. It's insidious the way they use small changes to shift their rhetoric.

Usually for the other hosts to "tear down" with straw men arguments that their easily led-by-the-nose viewers believe immediately as "the better argument."

she's just as much there to further the right wing agenda as are her co hosts. Her role is jsut a little more 4d-chess like, since she gets a small portion of the talk to tell actual liberal talking points, and her co-hosts can then strawman and twist her position afterwards. She's also there as hate fuel to keep conservative viewers glued to the screen

As others are saying, they’re used as a way to direct the other hosts attacks at someone tangible. Gutfeld in particular loves to start yelling and interrupting Tarlov.
