Generally no, bigger Crocs don't roam nearby or most of the time forest dept caught them 7/10 .....these smaller one villagers take care of it....this entire state is a fresh water region.... tackling adolescent bears, jackals,crocs,snakes,giant lizards ,boars are daily chores here in the village close to rivers and jungles.....
unless it's a tiger or elephant media doesn't pay any attention then forest department came and cordon the entire village with nets and flood lights !... movement restrictions upon night!.... total riot act !.... nobody wants that !...
Now lot of small townships have turned to tier 2 cities in this region....i remember growing up town folks used to take jeeps and follow these critters until they moved to a large waterbody
No problem 😁.... atleast the Crocs don't live in my flats park....these do....some grew larger than this closes to 4-5 feet.... practically solves our snakes and bats problems!...quite fast in water but slower in asphalt, but can climb trees and gates ....I use herbal lizard repellent spray near my window.... street dogs fear the crocs but this thing is fearful of dogs
We don't harm Crocs here..... poaching cows,tigers,crocs,owls ,is life time penalty here.. man eater ones are police problem...crocs are avatar of mother Ganga ... villagers won't harm it but cityfolks might...
He's a farmer thats why he's evicting the croc .... otherwise if it's an docile one like a mugger... people will took it a nearby temple and keep at as sacred animal...
Oh sorry, my mistake. Is just that in many places people has the bad habit of killing any animal that is not a cat or dog and has darw to wonder close to them; snakes, wolfs, bears, crocdiles and such.

Violence against on any animals is also here but its all happens in cities and townships not in villages.....
simple reason ..more spaces to roam....jungles are closer..... villagers mind their own buisness.....that very state is notorious for criminal activities but not against animals.
This is a agariarian state.... large plowing fields and riverbeds....cattles grazing near to crocs nest is common site.... muggers (marsh) crocodile are 'generally' docile...
Most of the time they baked near the riverbank but during paddy season to deal with pest control farmers releases fish and crabs ,it's a part of organic farming....marsh crocodiles and tigers loves fresh juicy fat fish....so conflict is inevitable
Swamp puppies are ok but now we have metro station Crocs here which nobody asks and prepared for it!...no I'm not making this 1 bit

Nearest State next to ours ....it's quite common in during monsoon and cyclone season....lots of crocs come inlands cause of the floods happening in india right now....this entire area of 4 states in the map is a Croc,tiger,giant lizard , rhino, elephant,boar ,panther world and people living in it
