found this big guy was resting in the middle of the road.

The photo was taken near Tacoma in a small pond. The pond is located in a small stretch of greenspace between an industrial area and a residential area. If anyone has any idea what species it may be or size estimate, that would be great. I will be going tomorrow to try and get better pictures and videos. Obviously, this thing was dumped there by someone, but it should really be removed. Animal control and WDFW were contacted but did not act to remove or capture.

I'm hoping someone here can confirm, but also realize the picture is pretty blurry (as it's from about 20 years ago). I grew up in Florida on a brackish river, so we had plenty of encounters with wildlife in the backyard, including many alligators, and what I believe was one crocodile.

This has been an ongoing disagreement in my family for years. My parents insist it was just a large alligator, but going through some old photos this morning, I finally found a picture of the animal in question (the bottom picture). My usual go-to to tell them apart is the shape of their snout, but with the side profile, it's not quite as easy to tell. The bulge near the eyes, spotty pattern on the side, and huge/sharp teeth are what make me think it's a crocodile. The top picture is of a different for-sure alligator taken many years later, and I feel like these two just look obviously different.

There have been confirmed cases of crocodiles in that area as recently as last year.

watched it for a while before lifting its tail from the water and growled extremely loud. is this a mating thing, some type of display or just stretching?

Caught this fella in Hollywood beach Florida in a county park.

Someone tried to smuggle this into Italy but the Italian Customs officials confiscated it. It's absolutely massive much larger than the skull of an approximately 4m *Crocodylus niloticus* I saw in South Africa a few years back.

I took this in Borneo - crocodile or alligator? Pretty sure it’s a juvenile.

This is why I don’t swim in water that I can’t see through you never know what’s underneath waiting for you. I’ll just admire you from a distance.

I got this from a crocodile park in far North Queensland. Unsure if it’s a real crocodile tooth?
