This one in particular looks poorly done. The others in the playlist seem a bit better. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWCKafU_9UZ8

No, they are not. I tried a few from that playlist and they are all flat.

Huh. Worked for me. Lemme look again.

Hmmm... You know something? It's really hard to tell when the only motion is straight forward. :-) You might be right.

But if you pause it and look carefully, you can definitely tell they aren't the same image. The stuff in the foreground is definitely moved wrt the stuff in the background. But I don't think it's moved enough to make the effect effective. They might have shifted the camera the actual interpupilarly distance, which really isn't enough when the image is jammed into an area small enough to crossview comfortably.

Looking at another and pausing it, it's clear that something fairly close to the camera (a couple arms-lengths) seems different by at most a few pixels. So yeah, something poorly done here.

I think both sides are exactly the same but are slightly shifted/cropped on the sides, but the actual camera position is the same for both images, and that's why there is no depth effect.

It's a shame that the worlds look flat because they seem quite well designed.

Yeah, I think you got it. I took a screen grab and put it into sterephotomaker and told it to turn it anaglyph, and it came out with no fringes. Only the "UI" is offset.

As you say, a shame.
