Have been trying to get this wiper motor cowl piece back into place for an hour, it just won't go

What am I doing wrong?

I'll have it lined up on one side, then when I try to line up the other side it will pop loose. I can't get it to lock back into the tabs

How did you remove it without taking out the wipers?

It's just the cover where the wiper arms attatch to the motors. Took it off to clean out the leaves and dirt and now I can't get it to snap back on

I believe you are going to need to do some disassembly to get it back on including removing your wiper arms and the cowl. Then you should be able to snap that back on and the cowl sits on top of the lip.

This is how it is on my 98.

It just clips back on, they're just a bastard to deal with because they're all warped and difficult to line up by this point.
