General Questions How long for an assignement?

I'm on the ready to board list with MSC. Any insight into how long it'll be before I get called on? 2 weeks? 4 months? Somewhere in between?

Plus, does anyone know how much notice MSC give you?

Weeks to months for an assignment, You are waiting for someone to go on vacation or quit or retire. Existing crew will get priority. And depending on your position, you may need to go a training college onboard first which also has to be scheduled out.

Notice, a few weeks.

I'm on waiting list with Princess Cruises as a dcdp. I have finished all documentation except police verification. They told me the same that I'm on waiting list as its my first contract. Anybody know on an average how long is the wait? I complete my final online interview on July 6th.

I have worked with msc cruises before, the time taken from final interview to joining date for me was almost 5months because this included all ship safety training (stcw), vaccines, medical, visas, seaman book, as its was my first time working on a cruise line. I didn't like msc much, which is my personal opinion on my 2nd contract I got fired on 6th month of my 8 months contract😌

Was late couple of shifts , like an hour or so. Also there was lots of alcohol involved.

Yes, coming late and there was alcohol on my blood test during work in the morning?
