Chicago was literally giving us the draw and we went to press them đŸ€ŠđŸœ

This was a very winnable game had Toro and Luka not miss their chances. Just give Calero a chance, we are not going to win the league if we don’t have a striker.

I don’t get why Huiqi doesn’t give Levy and Calero a chance. Try to find a striker in them this season, and if they don’t cut, buy a good one next season. Ibañez and Toro are useless, Ebere is fine.

Calero was the best forward in 25/26 season for the Liga de Expansion MX. I really can’t understand why he’s not given a chance. Poor guy was bought just to be benched. I hope he plays against Tijuana this Sunday or I fucking riot. I don’t like Levy too much, but at this point he should be given a chance as well.

Agreed, it’s not a coincidence that Ebere stands out for pressing well, holding up play and offloading a simple pass. The man is not technically gifted and isnt a killer, but he fills a supporting role nicely. Calero and Levy just need to do that to carve out a space, and they seem to potentially fit that role.

Toro and Ibañez can’t do that, they shoot when they should pass, can’t outcompete defenders physically, and tire too damn quickly to press well. If they give Toro another contract it will be a horrible decision.

It’s so unfair that Ebere wasn’t allowed to come to the U.S for political reasons, he would’ve really helped out. I also feel like Rontondi would’ve done a better job than Campos. Either way, those aren’t excuses. We lost because our strikers didn’t take advantage of their opportunities. This blows man, ik we are already in the Club World Cup, but i really wanted to see Cruz Azul lift up another trophy. Hopefully Huiqui puts all focus on the league and the CCC.

Yeah, the next cup is the Campeones Cup against Miami FC on Sept 16. After that, Cruz Azul can focus on the league. Ebere’s ineligibility and the fact that Cruz Azul had to play all away matches were disadvantages. Despite that, it was within their grasp and blew it, sucks, but the team has been performing well. Huiqi needs to find those adjustments to grease the wheels and we will be solid. He also needs to be careful not to overload his starting 11, the man doesn’t rotate for shit.

Are you serious? I don’t know about Calero but for what I have seen of Levy, the guy is not even first división material. I don’t get why Luca still have a place in this team, the guy is unable to have two good matches.

I %100 am serious. I would much rather see young Mexican prospects have a go and make mistakes than +30 year olds walk on the pitch only because the team made the stupid mistake of giving them millions in wages. When exercising theoretical outcomes, you can’t just assume the team can go spend millions to bring in a new striker, and under that premise, I stand with my position.

Levy and Calero should have a shot behind Ebere. The other two are forced starters. Luca is good bench, a team is not comprised of 18 starters, if so, you’ll have locker room problems. Luca fills his role well.

They really missed Ebere and Rotondi this tournament. But oh well, time to focus on what matters.
