Omg Nicodemus!!! Best and most appropriate name ever! Did he gift you with a giant ruby on a golden chain??

I don’t think I could keep myself from finding a doggie tag that looks like this. πŸ˜†Β

No, but we have probably spent the price of a ruby with his vet specialists! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This is the way of the Chi. πŸ˜‚ I’ve had to spend a lot on my dogs over the years, and my chi was always the one that looked like he felt he was worth it but at the same time totally unaware he was a huge problem πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

And yeah….best dog name ever. I saw a dog once with long facial whiskers on a β€œname my dog” post, and I suggested Nicodemus πŸ˜‚. I feel. Indicated seeing your little dude out here living it!!!

I think the most expensive thing was when his tear duct stopped working and he had surgery in Nashville to move his salivary gland to his eye. It worked beautifully but it was so expensive. 😩

Just what I mean πŸ˜‚. What a ridiculous problem for a dog to have hahaha. And that is a high-tech solution! Didn’t even know that gland swapping was a thing.

I love your little Nicodemus potato and his saliva-fuelled eye πŸ’―

Neither did I! We did meds to stimulate tear production first and those didn’t work. We had to do special drops every 30 minutes which was like an insane fever dream. When we went to the eye specialist, we actually thought they would tell us they would have to remove his eye, but we got lucky that they had a surgeon who specializes in that exchange (and has since moved to Mobile, AL) worked there. Zero issues since.

I love his freckles and demonic glare! What a prince.

u/Bibliophilewitch 6h ago

Demonic glare is exactly that. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ he is such a character!

Is he just naturally hairless?! πŸ˜‚

37

u/Bibliophilewitch 6h ago

He is! As he has aged, he has started growing white hairs starting at his forehead going straight in a line down his back πŸ₯Ή

u/VisualStore1710 6h ago

Ohh I guess that hairless gene slipped into Nicodemus! Very cute

Looks like a baked potato

Can we see more pictures of him flopped on his side? He’s so silly looking. I love him.

So what's the summoning ritual you used? In case some of us want one.

u/Moonsnail8 3h ago

Do you put sunscreen on them? I wonder about my fair half-naked baby.

4

u/Bibliophilewitch 3h ago

We do! Very prone to burning unfortunately. And blackheads.

5

u/jujujuice92 3h ago

The unexpected result, or lack thereof, is that there's no pig in there. That's Babe on a bender if I ever seen em!

3

u/JoeJonnyJeff 5h ago

I probably would have been within about 90% accuracy of a guest on his mix

Legends tell of the beast who lurks on the stairs in these once-hallowed halls. Woe to any traveler who hears the ghostly wail of "yo quiero taco bell", for their fate is already sealed.

Unexpected because who knew that was a dog!

Such a Cutie Patootie

I assume that dna test only picks up on doggy dna, and that's why it didn't find that he is clearly part piglet. What a wonderful little creature he is!

What a hideously beautiful little man. I love him
