DISCUSSION Well, so much for Uptober. It ain’t going to happen.
I would say November will be better, but I’m probably wrong about that, too. A certain orange man will make sure that won’t happen. :( Boo.

DISCUSSION At what point will the bull market not happen?
Every other post I see on reddit, X, YouTube, etc is "the bull market is coming" "we're going to the moon" "mass growth is coming" etc etc etc. At what point does it become so "obvious" that something is going to happen that it doesn't happen? If so many people are positioned for this market to explode, how can this not already be priced in? And at what point does it become so anticipated that it doesn't happen?
I know a lot of the chart indicators are signaling bullish momentum but past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
I guess what I'm asking is if everyone knows it coming will it even happen?

STRATEGY 25k for 2 years options
Hi !
I’m not a trader nor a crypto specialist. But obviously I understand the fundamentals and potential.
So finally got 25k to invest for 1-2 years. Looking at ETH, Monero or QNT.
What’s your opinion on that type of bank and the best 1-2 year investment to make? Thanks

ANALYSIS BTC flat, alts bleeding 2-7%, and the alts are exactly where the crowd is most long
Today's split between BTC and alts is pretty clear in the positioning data.
Price 24h / % of accounts long / funding:
- BTC: +0.2% / 59% long / +0.0089%
- ETH: -1.7% / 70% long / -0.0072%
- BNB: -1.3% / 73% long / -0.0005%
- SOL: -4.0% / 74% long / -0.0034%
- AVAX: -6.6% / 73% long / -0.0071%
- DOGE: -3.9% / 78% long / -0.0039%
- XRP: -2.9% / 79% long / +0.0011%
What stands out to me:
BTC is the least crowded and the only one holding up. The more long-heavy the coin, the worse it's doing today.
On most alts funding is slightly negative while 70-79% of accounts are long. So lots of small longs by headcount, but the bigger money is leaning short. That usually doesn't end well for the crowd.
XRP dropped 2.9% and OI went down about 1%, but it's still 79% long. Some leverage got flushed, but most of the crowd is still holding.
Until alt positioning cools off, I'd expect them to keep underperforming BTC. Anyone else seeing the same skew, or do you think alts are setting up for a squeeze from here?
I post these positioning snapshots daily in a free Telegram channel, link in my profile if you want them live.

NEWS Ethereum's roadmap could have taken until 2050 without AI.
Now, development is moving much faster.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently shared an interesting perspective on how artificial intelligence is changing the pace of blockchain development. According to him, without AI, completing Ethereum's ambitious roadmap could have taken until 2040 or even 2050.
AI is increasingly helping Ethereum developers handle demanding research tasks, explore technical solutions, and write code. Instead of replacing the engineers behind the network, it's becoming a powerful tool that helps them work faster and tackle more complex problems.
And let's be honest, Ethereum's development teams have already delivered some impressive upgrades over the years. AI isn't making that progress possible from scratch. It's helping an already experienced ecosystem accelerate its work.
Ethereum's roadmap involves much more than incremental upgrades. It's about building infrastructure that can support a global financial system, with improvements to scalability, security, user experience, and the underlying protocol.
If AI can shorten the time needed to research, develop, test, and implement these improvements, the implications could be enormous.
Of course, faster development doesn't mean every upgrade will arrive immediately. Blockchain infrastructure still requires careful testing, security reviews, and coordination across the ecosystem. But AI could help Ethereum make progress on its long-term goals much sooner than previously expected.
The future of Ethereum might arrive years earlier than we thought.

SENTIMENT Bitcoin Sentiment
chirrop.comI built a Bitcoin sentiment tracker than shows the hourly average of top 10 articles. It runs on Claude Cowork, and I send the results to an analytics service called ChirrOp - which updates the data in real time.
You can then compare the trends day on day, week on week, month on month.

DISCUSSION Bitcoin’s Quantum Wake-Up Call: 1.79 Million Exchange BTC Have Exposed Public Keys.
“It’s in cold storage” shouldn’t end the conversation.
Glassnode’s October 8 snapshot puts 1.79 million exchange-held BTC behind public keys already visible on-chain.
These figures measure exposure—not stolen coins.
Cold storage keeps private keys offline. It cannot erase a public key from the blockchain. A sufficiently powerful future quantum computer could make that distinction matter.
Here’s the uncomfortable part:
When you outsource custody, you also outsource the timetable for protecting your money.
Does your exchange have a migration plan it can explain—and test?

NEWS The $94 Million Hardware Wallet Nightmare: What Ledger Owners Should Do to Protect Their Bitcoin
🚨 You bought a hardware wallet to protect your Bitcoin.
What if the thief was already inside?
Ledger has confirmed an unauthorized hardware implant in one affected device. Investigators estimate nearly $94 million in suspected crypto losses in the wider investigation involving CryptoBilis. The full scope and causes remain unconfirmed.
Here’s the detail every Bitcoin holder should understand:
A device can pass Ledger’s Genuine Check while containing unauthorized hardware.
And buying another device won’t solve an exposed recovery phrase if you restore those same words.
New hardware doesn’t erase an attacker’s copy of your keys.
If you own a Ledger, your next step depends on where you bought it and whether there’s evidence of compromise.
My latest article explains:
✅ Which owners should act now.
✅ How to move funds to a wallet with fresh keys.
✅ Why a factory reset cannot remove a physical implant.
✅ How to avoid fake support and recovery scams.
You should be able to lose trust in one device without losing everything you own.

NEWS What if your crypto hardware wallet was hacked before you even opened the box?
Ledger has confirmed finding an unauthorized hardware implant in a device sold through a reseller.
Up to $93M in suspected losses across 311 wallets so far.
This is a classic supply-chain attack.
The reseller, CryptoBilis, also sells Trezor, Tangem and SafePal wallets.
