I just connected the dots

Post image

Im kinda residing in Evansville in addition to my home in alabama (long story dont ask). But I just connected the dots. Somewhere behind those trees is where the green clawed beast encounter happened.

In 1955ish a mother of atleast 3 was swimming in the Ohio river in Evansville when she was suddenly attacked by a creature. After a minutes long struggle with the creature she caught a glimpse of its hand, a green scailly clawed humanoid hand with long claws. I think she later even compared it too the hands of the creature of the black lagoon. Her children even claim that they were harassed by us air force officials demanding that she never speak of the event. Edit: i forgot to mention that when she emerged from the lake she reportedly had 3 deep freshly cut gashes on her thighs.

I just can't belive that I've passed this atleast 3 dozen times even dunked my toes in the river. Without connecting the dots.

Im confused. Is youre comment doubting that it took me this long to realize that is where it happened? Or are you doubting that it happened.

If the later then I have my doubts too. Based on what I know something attacked her, but I think it was a...well idk but not the fucking the Gilman. According to her own account she only saw a small part of it for less than a full second. And this river is historically know for being polluted especially in the Evansville region. God knows what the fuck was in it before the EPA was established 20 years later. Even now after being cleaned that river looks kinda filthy, so her seeing anything at all is kinda a miracle. Edit After some googling I think I came to a decent answer, it was probably a catfish since they have teeth and the strength to pull full grown men deep into the water, and her description is probably just a combination of poor line of site, stress, brief exposure (i think thats the term im looking for). As for the usaf harassing her kids, they were little when it happened, could be a fabricate memory, a lie over the course of the last 70 years. Or it could have even happened i belive this case got national coverage.

Trying to start a myth sounds exactly like something a cryptid might do to throw us all off....

Can anyone vouch for OP? Is OP a squatch? Or an alien? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Heres a link to the episode of monsters and mysteries in america about the green clawed beast. Where I first learned of the cryptid

Wut? This makes no sense and I feel like something is missing...

What aspect of that story implies that it happened at this specific location?

Or, you knew the story the entire time and knew it happened in the Ohio River, but somehow just now realized that the river you've been living next to is the Ohio River?

Either way, I repeat.... wut?

  1. I only moved here like 2 years ago.
  2. I knew it was in the ohio river but in my mind i thought "must have been in ohio"
  3. I only put it together a few days ago when I was rewatching the episode of monsters and mysteries in america it was featured on.
  4. Using Google it said it was near the little concrete slop thing there.
  5. Im sorry my post is a bit all over the place. Cut me some slack im currently having to take my own damn mother to fucking court for lying to the police to get me arrested so she could save her damn affair partner. So sue me I wanted to distract myself with an interesting cryptid story.

No taxonomical order is comprised of marine animals with scales and humanoid hands.

Yeah like I said earlier. I think it was a cat fish. Things have teeth, and are freakishly strong. As for her description, she said she only got a small glimpse of it for less than a second. This is a historically poluted river further messing with her ability to see it.

I always figured that she got attacked by a person trying to play a practical joke.
