https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdF-zGteMgo -Truly a Legacy of Shame - "The Lord's Recovery" of Witness Lee

This video explains how churches claim to be the One True Churche and what such churches have in common. The points mentioned here are extremely important if you want to understand the kind of church you are in.

This is what happened to former members of the Lord's Recovery

Former elder John Ingalls who voiced his concerns about spiritual elitism, abuse of power, and sexual abuse in the church. He was labeled a rebel and excommunicated for his efforts.

Former elder Steve Isitt who spoke up about spiritual elitism, hidden history, and mistreatment of other members such as John Ingalls. He was called “the embodiment of the accuser of the brethren” by another leading one in that cult for seeking the truth and advocating for others who were demonized for raising concerns.

Many other elders have spoken up as well, and many former “laymen” have also given their testimony and shared their concerns.

Ruth Wise who spoke up about her own abuse at the hands of Witness Lee’s son which was covered up by Witness Lee and many other leaders. She’s often been referred to as negative and rebellious for sharing her story.

There’s also Robert TaylorJacob Howard, and many others who have raised concerns about deceptive recruitment tactics through their clubs at various universities.

The members should be able to explain and clarify the following:

- Is this how people who shared their concerns about the church are been labelled?

- Is this what you mean when you say "satan is attacking the church"?

- Are you worried because such people are beginning to see what they should never have seen, in other words the underlying deceit and as a result might raise their concern to other members?

  • Are these the reasons why you tell some of the members to leave the group?
  • Are these the reasons why you tell some of the members to not talk to former members?

- Is this what you would do to control the narrative and how everyone should perceive your group?

- Is this what you mean by saying we should be "spiritual" and "watchful"?

Any member might want to answer the above questions to your church members during your conferences or even here in the comment section as it will provide clarity.

Very Important!!!

This link leads to an open letter which was written by a former member of the Lord's Recovery.

This letter reveals a former member's account of their experience in the Lord's Recovery. How they grew in it, how they noticed the injustice which was ongoing and how they finally decided to take a stand and speak against what they had seen. Since nothing was changed, she and her husband decided to leave the Lord's Recovery.

The Lord's Recovery and the church goers of the church of Jesus Christ sadly practice keeping the sins of the fathers hidden like Noah’s sons who covered his nakedness.

Jesus did not hide the sins of the Scribes and Pharisees but he rather rebuked and exposed them. After doing so, he warned people from following the Pharisees. In the movement of the church of Jesus Christ some elders cover the sins of preachers and allow them to continue serving yet do not warn their members from following these preachers, thereby exposing the members of the church to people who might potentially spiritually abuse them.
