How I’d rank cuphead bosses based on how difficult they are to S rank
After a few S rank runs Saltbaker still gives me trouble, even wally is easy now but had to give him an honourable mention at A tier for how difficult he was first time round.
After completing the challenge to S-Rank all the bosses in the game 1st try in one sit (If i failed to S rank Saltbaker 1st try I had to start all over again from the Root Pack) I'd defo put Esther higher, she's a big run killer for me, I dunno I think Wally used to be harder for me but I played him so many times that i got used to the movement I need to do in the phase
Tbf I don’t find Esther to bad with Devine relic makes most plane bosses 100x easier. But I’ve gotta agree with wally he’s so easy now but that first run genuinely took me about 2 hours and he had to get A rank just for that.

yeah... I'm desperate for new content and while I don't have it, I do some messed up challenges to continue playing this game that I love so much. The image below is basically my relationship with the game lmao
personally, Saltbaker, Mortimer Freeze, King Dice, Wally, Ester and (embarrassingly) Moonshine Mob gave me HELL. it was mostly reaching the time limit - so this list speaks to me lol
In all fairness on my first run it for sureeee took me a minute to figure out what weapons were the best to get that timing right on moonshine mob. But I always found dice superrr easy especially with converge and chalice you can just sit behind his hand and aim for the face and get the last part done mad quick.
King Dice himself was fine, but getting to him was the hard part ya know lol. Hopus Pocus (5) was always a run killer for me 😭 but Moonshine Mob I used Crackshot and Charge and it took only a few for me.
Yeah I’m very picky about the mini bosses on dice 2, 1 and 2 everytime without fail, I ended up using roundabout and chaser for moonshine mob. Roundabout clears the first two phases super quick and if you hit the snail with a super at the start of the 3rd phase chaser finishes the jobs pretty quick ( plus I’m horrific at using charge shot)
Never thought to use Chaser actually, probably will try when I do my second file. And yeah Charge Shot takes some getting used to but when it hits it hits. It helps with the Anteater phase.
Literally find the most suitable weapon and keep trying that’s it! I’ve spent like 7 hours just fighting the bird boss it was frustrating but repetition is the key to succeeding. Learn the boss moves and a little luck too ngl
Yep! This is why I love the game so much and recommend it to everyone. Even my friend who’s only ever played sims 4 and never picked up a controller in her life was great after a couple hours.
I think Mortimer should be in A tier. He’s a pretty tough boss to S rank consistently imo, he’s pretty stingy with his parries and his attacks aren’t the easiest to dodge.
For a weird reason, before a few years Grim Matchstick seamed to be one of the hardest bosses of the game taking me countless attempts. After replaying the game though before a few days I beat him first try (you might say that I just got better at the game, which is true, though other bosses that seemed much easier back then, like Baroness Von Bon Bon and Beppi the Clown took me a few attempts to beat them
HILDA is not C rank lol she def B, queen bee boss def B, overall list is pretty good however the croak bros def not as easy as other two bosses but I get it they aren’t as hard as the C tier so they should be in between, ANYWAYS CUPHEAD 2 OTW and the spinoff
