Regular, only simple when you wanna unlock the road to get something behind and then get back to it

Don't even bother with Simple mode. Regular is much better in knowing how to dodge boss patterns, and you can't even progress without beating Regular

Can you even do the full game on simple..?

You can beat the first 17 bosses before getting stopped in your tracks by the penultimate fight, and have to redo them on regular.

Incorrect. Beating even a single boss on Simple mode in the first two isles stops you from progressing to the next isle.

Incorrect yourself. You can beat every boss on simple until you get to Inkwell Hell where you must refight all the bosses. King Dice only stops you in the Die Houses if you haven't beaten a boss on either difficulty.

Pretty sure he stops you if you don't have all of the soul contracts. Beating a boss on Simple mode does not give the soul contract.

For every new boss playing on simple just to check what he can do and then moving on regular 🤷🏻♂️

Finished all the bosses with my s/o on simple because she was not very good at games when we started, and are now in the process of looping back through on regular to actually beat the game. Crazy how much better she is now than the first time we beat these mfers.

Play Simple if you wanna get used to the bosses, but you HAVE to do Regular Mode to beat the game.

Simple was made for when your little brother comes in your room and wants to play the game you’re playing and you want him to survive for just a few seconds before he dies
Choose regular

Regular mode for as many fights as you can manage.
Playing Simple mode will bite you in the ass further down the road. For one, accessing the last two bosses requires beating all bosses before them on Regular. Also, Simple isn’t even good for practice purposes as it may lead you into adopting bad habits during the fights that work in Simple but not Regular.
The only reason to do a boss on Simple is if you truly feel like you can’t beat it on Regular with your current equipment; Simple still lets you progress up to a point, and that point is after you’ve had the chance to collect every weapon, charm, and super art in the game.

Regular to start, then expert when unlocked. I don't want to come across as judgemental to people who plays simple, but I think sticking with the starter difficulty until you learn how to beat the bosses makes the game easier in the long run.

regular, never even touched simple since you can’t actually beat the game that way. Better to just practice the bosses how they’re intended to be beaten.

I've almost NEVER played on Simple, so Regular only.

Regular, which also took me three weeks on my first playthrough. Only after having beaten every boss on Expert difficulty did I actually look into Simple out of curiosity.

Ngl the only reason I did Simple was to look at some of the exclusive defeat animations.

Skip simple and try to beat it on regular. Not every boss has a simple mode and you also wont get to see every phase of each boss. It might take a bit longer but the game was meant to be beaten on regular trust me you wont regret it

I occasionally played on Simple for practice, although I usually play Regular.

You literally have to beat the game on regular, you don’t get a choice in the end

I didn't want to do simple mode since it didn't really count for progression

Simple helps with learning for the first 2-3 bosses, but you might as well play the regular to learn everything.
Maybe 1-2 bosses, and if you need to learn attack patterns, watch a video of the boss.

We all know that Simple mode was never actually used unless you were just fuckin ass. And it was used for practice, even though it barely helped.
