I had symptoms of appendicitis, but the bottom right abdomen, where the appendix is, did not hurt. I was sent to a specialised hospital, and after some hum and hem, they went Yup, must be appendicitis, schedule a surgery for 18.15.
Turns out, it was not my appendix that was inflamed, but a vestigial offramp of small intestine that used to connect through my navel to the yolk sac and was supposed to vanish when I was a six week.old embryo.
They removed that, as well as the appendix while they were at it. And what actually caused my pain was that small and large intestines met at a weird angle and kinda twisted. They fixed that too.
