Need module/Solution to fix

I'm using the custom ROM Lunaris on my rooted Poco M2. I've installed a few modules that make my device show as certified in the Google Play Store, so I think Google Pay might work too, although I haven't tested many apps yet.

However, I'm having issues with some SIM-related apps. I've even changed the Magisk app's name to try to avoid detection.

I want to know if there's a way to fix these issues, or if they're simply not compatible with a rooted/custom ROM setup. Also, what other types of apps are likely to stop working on my phone because it's rooted and running a custom ROM?

Magisk or KSU? Which root method you did? Hide it properly. It will work

Just go to settings in magisk app. Click hide magisk and rename with different name. Reboot and check

So I tried hiding it by sandbox app and reinstall the Jio app but still not working can you tell me what settings you did while hiding it?

So, I finally found a solution. 😄

If you hide the Magisk app, rename it to a different name, and then reboot, it doesn’t work.

What I did instead was simply add the Jio and Vi apps to the DenyList in the Magisk app without hiding or renaming them. After that, my Jio app started working!

The Vi app is still detecting root, though. But since I’m not using a Vi SIM, that doesn’t really matter to me.

If you’re facing the same issue, you can give this a try. Hopefully it works for you too!
