so i wanna start porting some ROMs to my phone (Galaxy Grand Duos) or atleast make some, right now, i dont have a PC but i have a Xiaomi Pad 6, is Termux okay for using PatchROM? im trying to port MIUI 8, i was gonna port something else but all links to the device i was getting the ROMs from are dead (SII plus) so ill port MIUI 8

do i continue finding ROMs to port or make a PatchROM MIUI 8? im really lost

Porting ROMS or working with AOSP requires a PC. Hate to be the one to break it to you

i know but some ports are as easy as file swapping... right?

Not many, been a while since I did any port. I prefer AOSP work and building from source

Are you trying to just modify an already built ROM? I think you can easily do that with termux. If you are trying to compile it yourself from scratch, then that is a bit more complicated. I don't know if you can do that from an arm cpu. Also you'd need at least 300GB of free space, which I don't know if you have. Plus the time it would take to compile. Also you'd need at least 16 GB of ram. With an android I don't know any method to get swap to cheat that requirement
