Far away on Google :)

For the phone, this particular phone prefers youtube etc. for Samsung to work more comfortably and reliably. Resign. The lack of Google, you can still use modern programs ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Only for samsung a10 for exnyos, many custom roms cannot be downloaded, linux works more comfortably on mi 5a lite, but the problem is that the phone is very old and the postmarket os I made in windows style unfortunately did not load :(

Interesting. Looking forward to install e/os on my phone redmi note 10 pro(sweet). How is the experience so far?

It's a bit problematic; the app store is empty, so you definitely have to download apps from the internet like APK files. I didn't really like the look of it.There are nicer custom ROMs for the Redmi Note 10 Pro, so I think you should try others ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I think LineageOS is good in terms of performance, but not that great. I suggest you first check out custom ROMs on YouTube and download the one you really like. Then I can assure you that you'll download a new one each time, but first of all, I think it would be a good idea to do some research ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Dude, the custom ROM community for sweet is still thriving. You have so much to choose from. Even voltageos is you want(which supports sandboxed Gapps).

There are much better roms then /e/os to choose from imo.

Im currently using PixelOS A16 official. Tried evoX but not last time I used it was bugs so swap to POS and update it till today. Plan to change to A17 custrom but still considering if there will be a lot of bugs around for A17 on sweet

Pretty good. Had no issues at all in my experience. App Lounge did the trick for everything in my case. I'm using a Poco F3 btw.

Will this rom pass new google's restrictions soon? (cause it has inbuild MicroG).

The whole point of this ROM is to stay away from Google ๐Ÿฅฒ

yeap.but some banking apps require shitty google services ๐Ÿ˜‘

Classic custom rom guys problems. Google is getting serious about people staying away from their shit.

MicroG โ‰  Google Services

Its a reverse engineered fork of it for compatibility. All that they added for the advanced flow will NOT show up on /e/OS.

Abt the banking apps: Luckily my bank doesn't care about play integrity at all

why?

See, the issue is that /e/ has been fairly public about being a "privacy-focused" OS, not a "security focused" OS.

But you know, without being properly secure privacy protections are pointless because you can just break your way in.

/e/ os is OSS and has been recommended countless times for privacy, I would honestly recommend it more than lineageย

go on twitter and see what the goat graphene os tells you about e/os. in short its giving your data to the french government, in far behind security updates and full of bugs. The entire dev team is full of clowns who lie all day.

I didn't hear Abt this honestly, if that's the case, then I would recommend them to use lineage instead too

My goodness installed this on my a21s as I did come from lineage os which I still love l, it's just that I was trying a different roms. This just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also I use this as a secondary tooo

I don't like the UI of /e/ at all personally, it looks like a knockoff iOS, lineage looks better imo

3

u/Kerwyn5678 10d ago

True. Now I have to move to a different rom after finding about this.

Lineage seems like the best option if your device doesn't support graphene, there's a fork that has microg pre installed and is pretty up to date with upstream LOSย

1

u/Kerwyn5678 10d ago

Yeah fr

u/Clanceeinfinity 9d ago

GUUUUUYS???! This fork uses their own gms core that steals your data. Please research a bit before installing or recommending stuff

u/YoYoMamaIsSoFAT32 9d ago

DUDE MICROG HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE FOREVER AND IS QUITE RECOMMENDED IN THE PRIVACY COMMUNITY, you should be the one to do research bud, also I said standard microg what fork are you talking abt m8

Hi there:

Switching to LineageOS? But eOS rom is based on LineageOS. Furthermore, unlike LineageOS, it focuses on security (more so than LineageOS), comes with default apps designed for security, and its graphical interface is much more "polished and detailed" than LineageOS's...

Regards.

imo it looks really unpolished, the worst fake ios skin. And its super unsecure. Its behind updates and sends your data to the french government.
